Thank you very much for visiting HIGOTSURU. We would like to introduce Japanese great art of iron and Japanese antiques for lots of people, then we launched the HIGOTSURU in 2012.

The origin of the name "HIGOTSURU" come from Kumamoto prefecture (old HIGO country) which is my home town and it's connected with the famous sword guard (TSUBA)"pattern of TSURUMARU" created by HAYASHI Matashichi. He was a famous craftsman(early period of EDO). He served lord KATO KIYOMASA and HOSOKAWA family.
